21 February 2007

I keep forgetting about this dragon. This is one of the clocks at London Court in the city. Appropriately, this is at the St George's Terrace end. The other end has a pair of jousting knights. Every hour when the clock chimes, the knights run a tilt at each other. I assume (although I've never seen it myself) that St George and his dragon do battle on the hour too. A warning for all Perthian dragons, maybe?

The phrase at the base of the clock is (making out from a close-up of the picture) "Nothing gone comes ever back again, Take heed and see ye nothing do in vain."
