11 March 2007

Well, since Nettie's frolic in the park, Autumn seems to have set in at Hyde Park. Oh, and no, there's still no water in that lake.

Anyhow, I don't actually go to Hyde Park all that often. In fact, I only seem to do so when we have a park lesson for Tai Chi. And today was one of those occasions. And only because I was sharp-eyed enough to spot the A4 poster on a pin-up board at Loftus Rec Centre a few weeks ago stating that today all courts were going to be used for volleyball competitions.

Tai Chi is always interesting to do at Hyde Park. We usually do our tai chi in one shady corner of the park, which unfortunately slopes down towards the lake pictured above. This ends up with one leg working harder than the other to keep yourself level. It was also rather windy today, so there were a few occasions where standing on one leg while on a slope seemed like a rather dangerous idea!

Oh, and it appears that the reason why the lake is dry is because of water restrictions - they're not allowed to fill the lake up again.
