I know I've not written in a while. But nothing of great interest has been happening. I did manage to find Replacement Boots. And they were on special, too, since the store was having 25% off all boots. As I don't have a picture of them, you can see them here in the third row down on the right hand side. They're called "Ducati".
I spent Thursday and Friday off work last week due to a virus. I managed to miss out on a whole bunch of exciting stuff, including fire alarms, an assault across the road from work, and a broken photocopier. However, back to work today, and I feel exhausted. Nothing like having the place fall to bits as people don't have the time to do your job as well as theirs. Plus we've got a lodgement deadline tomorrow, too. That always makes things fun.
I also managed to pick up this in a Queen size a few weeks back in a bedding store at the local shopping centre. Unfortunately, I only needed a Double size, so originally Mum (since I went shopping with her) actually bought it for her room. She then had second thoughts as she really thought that it wouldn't go with her room's colour scheme (sky blue), but would look spot on in mine (pale blue-green). Consequently, being the supurb seamstress she is, and wonderful mother to boot (yes, I am sucking up), Mum cut down the quilt cover for me.
I had an interesting thing happen today, which has left me feeling a little guilty in a way. I was on my way to the bank, and as I was passing St George's Cathedral, spied a five dollar note lying on the ground. I picked it up, and looked around (not too hard, admittedly), but couldn't see anyone in sight. I thought "Yay! Extra five bucks for me!" Then I felt all guilty and thought that I really shouldn't lay claim to it like that. So I turned round, entered the Cathedral, and left it as a donation. The gentleman I accosted seemed rather startled. So I left the Cathedral feeling as though I've done a good deed, yet I still feel as though that really wasn't my money to have done that with. Maybe it has something to do with donating it to the Cathedral named after a dragon-killer?
