Well, no joy at the endodontist. He got me numbed up enough (probably more than enough, since the whole right side of my face went numb*), but I still panicked. Looks like I'll be going into hospital and getting the root canal work done under a general anasthetic. Possibly mid-December.
* This reminded me of when I was 16 and had Bell's Palsy for about two weeks as a result of a middle ear infection. Horrible. Especially when wearing contact lenses.
