18 June 2006

Well, I would've been justified in saying I was freezing yesterday. It got down to -0.7°C yesterday morning. Officially, it's the coldest minimum for Perth on record. Today it got down to 0.9°C. Still pretty cold for Perth. Also, it's been the driest start to Winter since the 1880's. Perth has an average rainfall of around 800mm over the year, most of it falling during the winter months. So far this winter, we haven't had a single drop of rain.

Some interesting facts, aka Odd Spots:
* Cats have better memories than dogs.
* The average human will drink about 72,737 litres of water in a lifetime.
* By law, every child in Belgium must take harmonic lessons at primary school.
* Turles and honeybees are both deaf
* Sound at the right vibration frequency can bore holes through a solid object.
* If you keep a goldfish in a dark room, it will eventually turn white.
* Boanthorpy is a diseas in which a person thinks they're an ox.
* Reindeers like to eat bananas.
* Mosquito repellents don't repel. The spray blocks the mosquitos sensors so they don't know you're there.
