More fuzzies!

I'm sure Carlotta will be happy. I've been going through old photos today (theoretically to find a decent tai chi photo of me pre-2006 for a commemmoration book). And I get to the 1998 section, and there's photos of all the puppets I made for my TAFE childcare course. I also feel the need to point out that I did not make these puppets from scratch - they were patterns from a puppet-making book. Not to mention I did actually have a fair bit of help from my Mum.

Anyhow, another picture of Kevin, together with the dog puppet.

The cat and the duck. The duck looks rather odd...maybe something to do with the location of it's eyes. Or it just doesn't look very ducklike. Either way, this was my least favourite puppet. Sadly, the way that the photo was taken, you can't see that the cat's body was very well shaped, and even had a tail.

The octopus. As I said in my previous post, everyone at TAFE loved this guy, and got a tad streched from everyone trying to fit their hand in.

These weren't part of the project, but were done again from the same puppet book (darned if I can remember what it was), using the spare fabric from the other puppets. The black and white was supposed to be a mouse, the green possibly a snake (can't really remember), and the yellow could be either a chick or a duckling...

So there you have it, guys. All the puppets in all their fuzzy glory.

Those are awesome puppets. I worked at a summer camp for many years where we had the most wonderful puppets to put on shows. I don't have pictures of them, but these bring back memories :)

I think the octopus is definitely my favorite too. Too bad you didn't have 7 fingers :)

Hmm. It leaves a marker when you delete a post to correct a mistake, and you can't edit comments. Things to remember ;)

*is very happy* :D

Yeah, the octopus is clearly awesome, but I actually really liked the duck too. And the kitty cat :)

I have a sort of puppet "thing". I was more into marionettes, although I did make my very own set of Punch and Judy puppets out of paper maché when I was a kid. I wasn't exactly skilled, so they were even more terrifying than they normally are, lol.

If I ever have the space for it, I'd like to set up a puppet theater for my daughter. I'd like to make as many as possible, but there are some amazing puppets at a boutique toy store here too that I wouldn't mind having. Um, I mean her having. ;)

I really like the spotted one... it reminds me of the stuffed puppy we got my son when he had chicken pox.

When I was in York I saw a beaver puppet at a shop there that I thought was awesome. I also really like the puppets you get from Australian Geographic, they're so cute and I usually send them all over the world. Alex and Mouse both have a platypus and I think it was the wombat that I sent Boo.
I shall have to remember that MC loves puppets! :-D

And I have Fuzz the Wonder Raccoon!

He's good for terrorising-. . . errr, I mean, for entertaining youngsters. Even if he is a bit scruffy looking these days.
