November post

Well, it's November. And a number of things seem to be happening in the city in November. So here comes a picture-intensive post.

First, the Jacaranda trees are blooming.

The Red Bull Air Race has been and gone.


The Christams decorations have gone up. Actually, these started going up in the last week of October. Some stores around here have been selling decorations since the end of August.

Oh, and in my opinion, the above is rather garish - and new. Those green swirls are actually lights that appear to dim and brighten regularly.

The Awesome Festival has started. This actually opened Friday night. Forrest Place is currently home to a full-scale house made out of cardboard (my boss is also visible in this image as she's on the board for Awesome Arts)...

...and a bunch of megaphones scattered about.


And moths are getting about everywhere.

This moth was lurking in our garage a week or two ago.

And I had another tai chi demo two weeks ago. (Un?)fortunately, I have no pictures of this, so everyone can now weep and wail over the lack of Smerky pics.
